  • Responsible for efficient operation of packaging machines ensuring proper weight, splicing, sealing and code date of finished product.
  • Inspects equipment daily to be sure it is clean and sanitary.
  • Checks metal detectors as instructed.
  • Conducts product changeovers, replacing packaging film as needed.
  • Coordinates proper splicing with correct packaging film.
  • Checks code dates for accuracy every fifteen (15) minutes.
  • Inspects bags seams making sure seals are strong.
  • Works with quality control to ensure standards are good; keeps applicable records.
  • Maintains efficient operation of equipment.
  • Troubleshoots and proactively solves potential problems with equipment.
  • Communicate with all production associates to ensure steady flow of production in order to accomplish packaging efficiency goals.
  • May be required to work in other areas of production.
  • Qualified candidates must be self-starters who will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing all of the packaging and seasoning systems in our Packaging Department.
  • This position will also report inventory parts necessary for the equipment, inspecting all equipment and perform necessary maintenance, along with being involved in day to day training and support to bagger and seasoning machine operators and the packaging departments in production.
  • Read batch cards to determine product specifications, processing information, abd technical information.
  • Record production and test data for each food product batch, such as: ingredients and lot numbers, used temperatures, mixing speeds and test results.
  • Monitor and regulate gauges, recording instruments, flow meters, and thermometers to correctly adjust the addition of raw materials, mixing temperatures, mixing speeds, etc. to maintain product quality, and ensure safe and efficient operations.
  • Combines ingredients for processing and packaging.
  • Procure materials from inventory and combine them into any needed mixing vat or tank.
  • Maintains the safety, purity, and integrity of the product.
  • Performs and records the result of required calibrations.
  • Repairing and maintaining mechanical equipment.
  • Servicing, repairing, adjusting, and testing machines, devices, moving parts, and equipment that operate primarily on the basis of mechanical(not electronic) principles.
  • Controlling machines and processes using either control mechanisms or direct physical activity to operate machines or processes(not including computers or vehicles).
  • Inspecting equipment, structures, or material inspecting equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problem or defects.
  • Handling and moving objects, installing, positioning, and moving materials.
  • Set-up, adjust and operate horizontal form, fill and seal equipment.
  • Set-up, adjust and operate labeling and packaging equipment.
  • Load and unload packaging film and other materials.
  • Perform changeovers and basic machine maintenance.
  • Ensure adequate supply of packaging and other materials.
  • Participate in all company training for food and plant safety.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Maintains good housekeeping all time at the respective working production area.
  • Must be able to adapt to any job as per assigned by the supervisor.
  • Responsible for a group of operators and carry out manpower utilization effectively to meet shipment.
  • Manage 40 plus employees and 2 to 3 production lines at one time.
  • Ensuring all employees are working efficiently in their appropriate positions.
  • Delegating specific tasks to the same or all employees.
  • Make certain all employees follow industry standard health and safety guidelines.
  • Provide motivation, support, and guidance to all employees.
  • Evaluating existing manufacturing processes and workflows to identify areas that could benefit from changes and improvements.
  • Apply working knowledge of product design and assembly to the manufacturing process. 
  • Create processes and procedures to help the company meeting budgetary goals as well as performance quotas.
  • Increase productivity.
  • Minimum 10 plus years of experience in Snack/Food manufacturing as a Production/Plant Manager.
  • Purchasing Assistant position requires high level of verbal and written communication and heavy phone work, including calling suppliers and expediting requests for quotes (RFQ) responses and purchase orders shipments.
  • The Purchasing Assistant will process vendor acknowledgements, close out purchase system.
  • Will resolve shipping discrepancies; assist buyers, program managers and other team members.
  • Will perform data entry, run status reports, file and perform other general clerical duties.
  • Assure ongoing compliance with quality and industry regulatory requirements.
  • Collect and compile statistical quality data, analyze data to identify areas for improvement in the quality system.
  • Update and Maintain all paperwork properly.
  • Maintaining websites, overseeing and developing marketing campaigns on social medias.
  • Devising and presenting ideas and strategies, promotional activities and working closely with our customers to meet sales goals and execute in-store programs including demos.

  • Collaborates and strategize with trade promotion and sales to analyze customer performance, develop pricing, promotion and distribution strategies. 
  • Support annual planning process with sales team and marketing leadership by providing data needs as well as insight into 4-Ps (Product, Pricing, Promotion, and Placement) best practices based on knowledge from regular data monitoring and analysis.
  • Seek input from sales, marketing, new business development and other key influencers to incorporate into the product and the product marketing.
  • Uses trend, market and consumer research to help identify and convincingly propose growth opportunities for brands within current product lines.
  • Keeps up-to-date on consumer and industry insights that can be used to develop more powerful consumer communications, key strategy implementation, brand programming, and product evolution.
  • Tracking all inbound/outbound leads.
  • Work with brokers/buyers/manufacturers and inform as to price lists, order minimums, storage temps, and other pertinent information relevant to customers.
  • Obtain all new customer information and communicate relevant information to Finance and Operations via internal documents (update information as needed).
  • Work with both VP of Operations and Sales to determine packaging requirements for each Private Label account and manage the design process and implementations in production.
  • Work with the Operations to determine and communicate Private Label production needs/forecasts to satisfy all accounts.
  • Communicate all Private Label sample needs to Operations department for existing and potential accounts.
  • Develop and execute standard operating procedures, including full utilization of a warehouse management system.
  • Ensure products, parts and finished goods to maintain required supply.
  • Maintain records, replenish stock and plans for future requirements based on orders, production schedules and forecast.
  • Evaluate daily inventory on hand, counts items received or shipped and checks against packing lists recording any discrepancies.
  • Prepare and review distribution documents.
  • Oversee the loading, unloading, movement or storage items according to delivery or routing documents.
  • Communicate with drivers in transit or customers about status of freight.
